5 places to get your Thanksgiving dinner without the hassle

Thanksgiving will look a little different for many people this year. If your typical large gathering has been nixed due to COVID, maybe take the day off and do takeout instead.

You can socially distance, do less work and support your local restaurants, all in one shot. It’s a win all around!

Here are five places you can pick up dinner from on Thanksgiving.

Old Snack Shack (Madeira Beach)

Why not enjoy a sunset on Thanksgiving? While you are there, you can pick up food to take home. On its Facebook page, the Snack Shack says it will have extended menu hours from Thursday, November 26 through Sunday, November 29. They will be serving breakfast from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., and lunch/dinner from 11:30 a.m. until 30 minutes after sunset.

Duffy’s Sports Grill (Sarasota)

Duffy’s is offering preorders for a take-home Thanksgiving Day feast through November 25 at 12 p.m. The dinner includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, broccoli, cranberry sauce and, of course, apple pie. Dinners serve four, eight or 12 people for $15.99 per person.

Harborside (Winter Haven)

Harborside is offering Thanksgiving-to-go meals. As of Monday, the restaurant was still taking orders. It will also be open for dining-in from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Their holiday menu includes roasted turkey breast, smoked ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, pie and more. The meal is $34.99 per adult and $17.99 for children under 10.

Parkshore Grill (St. Petersburg)

Parkshore Grill is offering a Thanksgiving Feast which includes a choice of salad, or butternut squash bisque, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sides and dessert, including a pumpkin cheesecake. This dinner is $36 per person. The restaurant also has its regular menu available.

Eddie V’s (Tampa)

Eddie V’s is offering a dine-in and takeout option for Thanksgiving. Its menu includes Caesar salad, turkey, stuffing, au gratin potatoes, squash, asparagus, cranberry sauce, bread and pumpkin pie, starting at $135. It also has a roasted tenderloin bundle starting at $150.
