FloridaCommerce launches $15 million Emergency Bridge Loan Program for businesses affected by Hurricane Helene

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, FloridaCommerce has activated the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program, making $15 million available to help impacted businesses recover.

Small businesses in Florida that were affected by the hurricane can apply for short-term, zero-interest loans designed to provide immediate financial relief.

The program, administered by the Florida Department of Commerce, offers working capital loans to assist businesses until they can secure longer-term recovery funding, such as federal or commercial loans, insurance claims or other financial resources.

Eligible businesses may apply for loans of up to $50,000 through the program. For small businesses involved in agriculture and aquaculture, loans of up to $100,000 are available.

Business owners can visit FloridaJobs.org/EBL to learn more about the program, view lending guidelines, required documentation and submit an application by the Nov. 24, 2024, deadline.

For more information, applicants can call 833-832-4494, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Eastern time.
