Three new businesses are preparing to open at Water Street Tampa over the next several months, with locally owned fashion and beauty boutiques joining national fitness chain [solidcore] in the downtown district.
Strategic Property Partners announced the additions Tuesday, naming Sirena City Haus Boutique from Tampa entrepreneur Sydney Boright and Ayu Bottega from Ayu Skin founder Alexandra Exterkamp. Both women are expanding existing South Tampa businesses, while [solidcore] is preparing to open its second Tampa studio.
Boright, whose original Sirena Boutique on Cypress Street specializes in women’s clothing, swimwear and coastal-inspired fashion, plans to introduce a more upscale selection at Sirena City Haus, carrying designers including Seroya, ASKK Denim, Icon Denim, Frankies Bikinis and Bond-Eye Swim. Merchandise will generally range from $100 to $400, and the Cypress Street boutique will remain open with its own selection of clothing and accessories.
“Sirena City Haus is a natural evolution of the brand and an opportunity to introduce Tampa to designers and styles that haven’t been widely available in our market,” Boright said. The new boutique will open near the recently launched Pura Vida Miami restaurant, with its debut targeted for late December or early January.
Next door to Pura Vida, Exterkamp is preparing to open Ayu Bottega in November, building on her existing Ayu Skin studio in SoHo with a new concept focused on clean beauty products, wellness merchandise and lifestyle retail. The boutique will also offer a menu of holistic, Italian-inspired facial treatments.
[solidcore] is scheduled to open first, with the fitness chain planning a Nov. 12 debut on East Cumberland Avenue ahead of its Dec. 19 grand opening. The studio will join the company’s existing Hyde Park location, offering 50-minute, full-body strength training classes on custom-built reformer machines designed for slow, controlled movements targeting the core, upper and lower body.
