Inaugural Tampa Bay Wine & Food Festival launches in April (PHOTOS)

From the creators of South Beach Seafood Festival and producers of the annual Las Olas Wine and Food Festival, the inaugural Tampa Bay Wine & Food Festival is scheduled to kick off April 12.

The inaugural Tampa Bay Wine & Food Festival consists of four, separately ticketed events taking place throughout the week (April 12 to April 15), with the kickoff on April 12 with “An Evening at The Tampa Club,” a private, invite-only, ticketed experience.

The following evening, guests will gather at Hyde Park Village for “Experience Hyde Park,” where the festival has partnered with four different restaurants where guests can select their destination and experience a four-course pairing dinner.

On Friday, there will be a “Chef Showdown” where Tampa Bay’s top chefs will participate in cook-offs. Attendees will serve as judges.

On Saturday, the final day of the festival, ticket holders will head to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park for an afternoon at the “Grand Tasting,” where a selection of food and beverages from Tampa Bay’s leading restaurants will be served. In addition, there will be wine, cocktail and brewery experiences set for VIP ticket holders.

The event is in support of Community Initiatives’ annual EAT SMART campaign that engages the future hospitality leaders of the area and is presented by Breakthru Beverage Florida, and its partners, and was created by CI Management.
