Sirata Beach Resort has joined Hilton’s Tapestry Collection following the completion of a $25 million renovation, bringing one of St. Pete Beach’s longest-operating beachfront hotels into Hilton’s portfolio of independently branded boutique properties.
The renovation updated all 228 guest rooms, including 80 junior suites, along with the lobby, restaurants, bars, fitness center, pool deck and outdoor gathering spaces. Owned and managed by Kentucky-based Columbia Sussex, the resort will continue operating under the Sirata name while participating in Hilton’s reservation system and Hilton Honors loyalty program.
Originally developed as the El Sirata motel during Florida’s postwar tourism boom, the resort has operated on St. Pete Beach since the 1960s, growing alongside Pinellas County’s emergence as a premier Gulf Coast tourism destination.
Public spaces received the same attention as the guest accommodations. Rum Runners, the resort’s signature restaurant, and Blue, its poolside dining venue, were redesigned alongside the pool deck, beachfront gathering spaces and fitness center. Sirata also continues to offer more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space for conferences, weddings and other group events.
Columbia Sussex operates 49 hotels nationwide under the Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt brands, including the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa and the Marriott Tampa Westshore. Sirata becomes the company’s newest property within Hilton’s Tapestry Collection.
