Valspar unveils New ‘Be Bright by Valspar’ mural at ZooTampa (PHOTOS)

Valspar kicked off its week of Valspar Championship events by unveiling a new mural in Tampa Bay.

Valspar unveiled the new “Be Bright by Valspar” mural, at ZooTampa at Lowry Park, which was created to embody the connection between people and animals. The mural encompasses more than 2,000 square feet, covering a pedestrian tunnel used by more than 1.2 million people each year. This latest mural was painted by local artist Carlos Pons.

The “Be Bright by Valspar” mural initiative began just before the 2021 Valspar Championship, in Tampa Bay, as a way to foster optimism and human connection and demonstrate a spirit of togetherness within local communities.

Each year, Valspar completes two murals in association with the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship: the first in Tampa Bay, and the second later in the year in a city of the tournament winner’s choosing.

Pons’s artwork represents the seventh installation of the “Be Bright by Valspar” murals which are now spread across the country, including in Nashville, Tennessee; Ruston, Louisiana; and Edmond, Oklahoma.
