Holding company for Toorak and Merchants Mortgage appoints chief operating officer

Roemanu has named Charles “Mac” Macintosh its new chief operating officer, effective immediately.

Roemanu is the parent company of Toorak Capital Partners, a capital provider for the residential real estate lending industry, and Merchants Mortgage & Trust Corp., which originates residential transition and stabilized investor loans.

Macintosh will manage several business areas, from its Tampa headquarters to the offices of Summit, New Jersey. He will report directly to John Beacham, chief executive officer of both Roemanu and Toorak.

Macintosh has over 25 years of experience in fixed-income, capital markets and investment banking in the mortgage industry. He most recently was president of finance for America Home Improvement and has held leadership roles at FirstKey Holdings, Raymond James and Merrill Lynch.
