  1. Wow is an understatement! I’ve know Dr. Patel for more than 20 years, and worked closely with him in the “early years”! Our entire community is thankful for his and Pallavi’s philanthropic support and leadership!

  2. Wow…. Thank you for sharing I was wondering what was coming there and why was it taking so….. long I see why now its beautiful may God bless you and your family with your new home.

  3. So proud to have an Indian palace in my city. Proud of my Indian heritage.
Best of luck to the Patel family.

  4. Mrs and Mr Patel palace is a splendour of Indian architectural, as a next door neighbor I have seen this project take very small steps towards completion. I wonder if it’s on purpose. My background on Civil Engineering and Industrial Engineer absolutely drives me insane to see how each building is never completed as a whole i/o. DC Patel possibly should review this process

  5. I don’t know Patels featured here. But I am happy for his success and achievements.

Best wishes to Dr Patel and family.
Don’t let any impure soul’s feet enter your palace.
Do maintain an army to protect your home!

Judging from comments so far it seems like you are well known and admired popularly.
    Keep up your philanthropy!🙏🙏🙏🙏
    Jai Ho!

  6. Ive always wondered what this was when driving by and it is gorgeous!! can i be the housekeeper there?! 😁

  7. Dr. Patel is a very well respected contributor of the community. I respect him and his family, but why build this compound on Dale Mabry? I don’t care about the aesthetics but it wouldn’t a lake in Lutz or Keystone offer a far bette environment. Or even up the eastern Seaboard? I just don’t get thE location. Oh well c’est la vie

    1. According to the team at ROJO who provided us with the tour, Patel already lives in the neighborhood and wanted to stay in his community that he was used to and loved, which is kind of sweet. 🙂

  8. There doesn’t seem to be any photos attached? I am sad to see that after living in Carrollwood since 1998 and watching its development, and being so very disappointed in how long its taken that now seeing photos would have been great but once again I’m denied 😢

    1. Hello, if you scroll to the bottom of the story and click on an image, the gallery should pop up with buttons to scroll through. If you are trying to view on mobile, I’ve heard it can be clunky, so I apologize for that (we’re working on it!) If you try on your computer, you should have better luck. Hope this helps!

  9. I pass this place daily and it truly is awesome to catch a peek of this AMAZING place thank you kindly!!! Would love to get in for the ballroom I always felt the ultimate of elegance in them 😊🌴

  10. A lovely family . So very generous to the people of Tampa! Family is a priority! Family is everything!

  11. I hear an extended family will be living here? The doctor and he adult children and grandchildren?
It makes me remember the show ,DALLAS ,and the Ewing Family all living at Southfork Ranch..
Remember The Mother and Father, sitting at breakfast every day with their adult sons, and daughter-in-laws, and their grandchildren ..all bickering with each other getting served breakfast by the maids…I never felt envious of the adults still dealing with their siblings every day.
    .lol, hope this is different!

  12. I believe it will be completed and magnificent as the Patel family. I use to work not to far from there by the Social Security office and drive by just in awe and how exquisite the mansion would be when it would be finished. I am glad that we have a beautiful place to admire here in Tampa. Blessings to the Patel family so they can live in their beautiful home. Namaste 🌹

  13. I worked with Dr Patel in the 80’s at a local hospital and thought he was a great person and physician. I remember his first office on Florida Ave. He was fresh out of school.. I am happy for him as he has come a long way. I wish him and his family a long life in his palace.

  14. But when is it estimated to be completed? It never looks like there is anyone working there or that there has been much progress recently. Curious on status

  15. I would like to buy it and turn it into another location for the Shanti Bavan program. Think of how many children he could upgrade from the bottom of the caste system in his home country. I’d rather see them upgraded than see all his wealth handed to colleges, theaters, etc.. Children in his home country at the bottom of the caste are begging for crumbs. I’d love to run that place and adopt a few hundred a year and teach them how to achieve the American dream.

  16. I would love to tour this magnificent mansion when finished. I have driven by many times in amazement. Best of all to the Patel family. They are obviously great people from all the compliments people have given.
