Chef Chris Ponte’s new concept, Ponte Tampa, is under construction and is on track to be open in Midtown Tampa later in 2021.

Ponte also owns On Swann, in Hyde Park Village, and Olivia, which opened in 2019.

Ponte Tampa will be the fine dining option, among several other food concepts at Midtown Tampa, says Nicholas Haines, CEO of The Bromley Companies, the real estate developer for the project.

“We tried to find a mix of new to market concepts, and some great local concepts,” Haines says. “So Chris Ponte putting his flagship Tampa location here was a big one.”

Other food concepts in Midtown Tampa include a St. Petersburg staple, Bella Brava, True Food Kitchen and Tampa’s first Shake Shack.

There is also one more, yet to be announced, concept coming to the mixed-use development.
