AC Hotel by Marriott opens in St. Petersburg (RENDERINGS)

A new AC Hotel by MarriottSt. Petersburg Downtown has opened, at 110 Second St. N. The eight-story hotel has 172 guest rooms, a 2,500-square-foot lobby, 1,800 square feet of meeting, and event, space, a fitness center and an outdoor pool.

Cane & Barrel, the hotel’s signature rooftop terrace bar, is located on the eighth floor of the hotel; it has a 1,000-square-foot interior lounge, and bar, in addition to a 1,900-square-foot rooftop terrace, which includes a second bar. Cane & Barrel is connected to Ascent St. Pete, a 36-story, $117 million hotel and apartment tower developed and built by Greystar Real Estate Partners.
