Team of health professionals open health center concept in Tampa

When individuals prioritize their health, they are better able to enjoy family, and friends, and do the things they love the most.

Chiropractor Carl Conforti, a co-founder of Momentum Health Centers of Florida, knows this firsthand. During his childhood, he experienced symptoms of pain and begged his family to help him find a solution. His parents decided to take him to see a chiropractor and Conforti noticed significant improvements after a few visits. This was when he decided to use his career to serve others and help people become their healthiest and happiest selves.

After earning a doctorate in chiropractic from Life University, Conforti started his practice, Conforti Chiropractic and Wellness Centers, in 1999. From his early days as a chiropractor, he recognized that it is more effective to treat the “whole patient,” rather than just symptoms.

Conforti eventually partnered with multiple chiropractors, in the Tampa Bay area, to form Champion Wellness Centers. He, alongside some of his partners, were even on hand to provide chiropractic care to Team USA, during the Rio Summer Olympics, in 2016.

Now, Momentum Health Centers of Florida, his latest venture, has a unique proposition and the potential to impact health care in the Tampa Bay community in a meaningful way.

Conforti and his wife, Catalina Conforti, have partnered with an experienced team of health professionals to create a seamless health care experience for Momentum patients. Alongside the Conforti family, Momentum Health Centers will be supervised, and operated, by health care professionals Peter Obesso, Kevin Huffman, Chris Barker, Mike Risoldi, Dex Alvarez and Richard Parissenti.

Obesso has over fifty years of experience in emergency medicine, general surgery and family practice clinics and has earned a reputation in both clinical and administrative aspects of health care. Huffman was among the first physicians in the United States to get certified in bariatric, or weight-management, medicine and has over 35 years of experience serving patients with their weight loss needs.

Barker, Risoldi, Alvarez and Parissenti are chiropractors who bring decades of experience to Momentum Health Centers of Florida. Barker is certified in spinal correction and has used his training to teach spinal correction to chiropractors across the country. Parissenti is, additionally, licensed to practice regenerative medicine and physiotherapy.

Momentum Health Centers also provides physical therapy, shockwave therapy, spinal decompression and regenerative medicine. Additional services include weight loss, pain management and auto injury recovery programs.
