Economic Development Corp. of Sarasota County names new CEO and president

Jo-Lynn Brown June 15, 2023

The Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County has named Erin Silk as president and chief executive officer.

Silk officially assumed the role on June 15. Lisa Krouse, who led the agency since August 2021, has retired.

In the fall of 2022, following a search for a new CEO, Silk was selected to succeed Krouse by the EDC’s Board of Directors, according to a statement.

Silk has been with the EDC since April 2019 and has held several roles with the organization including director of business development services and vice president of business development services from July 2021 through November 2022. Most recently, Silk was chief operations officer.
