St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport awarded $6 million grant for terminal improvements

St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport was awarded a $6 million Federal Aviation Administration Discretionary Grant for its Airport Terminal Project.

The total project cost is estimated at $119 million and the airport has secured funding through grants from the Federal Aviation Administration, the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Transportation, in addition to airport funds. 

Included in the project is the construction of two gates, consolidating TSA checkpoints, adding new concessions and more.
