The holidays are upon us and the season of giving is here. Part of the mission of Tampa Bay Business & Wealth is to highlight the giving that is done by our cover CEO’s – as well as those we write about throughout the pages of the magazine. It is our belief that by doing so, we give much needed exposure to many of the deserving nonprofit’s in our region, some of which we weren’t aware of prior. So many give so much, and yet, it still isn’t enough. If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll add giving to your list this season and touch a life.
Speaking of lists – for many of us, this season is busier than any other. Year-end is happening in our businesses, while the holidays are happening in our homes! And while business may slow down a bit at this time of year, the invites for events and celebrations can be overwhelming. That’s why Dr. Rahul Mehra writes in this issue about how important it is to take care of you during this bustling time of year.
2018 flew by for me faster than a year ever has before, I’m sure partially due to launching TBBW. I can’t believe it’s already time to ring in a New Year! Read event guru Alyssa Rhoads article on her top ten tips for throwing a classy and memorable New Year’s Eve Party.
I can’t wait for you to read the coverage of our CEO Connect with our very first cover star Punit Shah – whose son Dev was born the end of October. The TBBW team was ecstatic to be part of their journey. The event was held in front of a packed room. I spoke with him about his career and his growing family and the audience hung on his every word. Moving forward, I hope you’ll be one of our partners, advertisers or sponsors, so that you can attend – for free – and meet Brian Murphy, and other TBBW cover stars, in person.
If you’re like me, you’re always looking for the most unique gifts and it can be hard to find the time to shop. We expanded our Good Life section this month to include more exclusive, swanky items that could make for memorable gifts this holiday season.
The most important thing about this season to me is being with loved ones and being grateful for all our blessings. I count you among them! I’m so grateful for all the support we have received from this great community these past few months. You’ve embraced us, made us better, supported us and welcomed us with open arms. This is no better community than Tampa Bay!
If you’re hosting, or attending, an exclusive holiday party share your photos with us and we’ll share them with our readers. TBBW will be posting pictures online and in a following issue so share those festive photos with us, so we can share them with Tampa Bay.
And finally, we are in the process of assembling our Editorial Advisory Board and using their input to make certain we are delivering great content to you month after month. We know how valuable your time is and want to make certain that reading TBBW is a valuable use of it. If you’re interested in being part of that exclusive board, please reach out to me directly at [email protected]
From all of us to you and yours … take care, enjoy, and have blessed holidays. See you next year!
