Florida Funders names new partners

Florida Funders announced that Saxon Baum, Ryan Whittemore and Michael Kadow have been promoted to partner.

Baum previously was vice president of investor relations. As a partner, he will continue to oversee investor relations and will also focus on scouting founders and startups.

Whittemore is the former chief investment officer at Florida Funders, where he oversaw the firm’s investment strategy and will continue to do so in his new role as partner.

Kadow, vice president of finance and operations, will be promoted to partner, where he will primarily develop and implement the firm’s financial management strategy and strategic goals.

“I’m immensely proud to watch the new generation of professionals make their mark in venture and continue to evolve Florida Funders’ commitment to investing in the best talent,” said Tom Wallace, managing partner at Florida Funders, in a statement. “They have each brought extensive value to the firm and I’m excited to see the firm’s growth under their leadership.”

In the last four years, Florida Funders reviewed more than 3,600 deals and invested in 96, their contribution totaling $146,042,843. To date, the firm has invested in 209 companies, the statement said.
