Feeding Tampa Bay receives Bank of America grant to support local food security

Bank of America Tampa Bay granted $70,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay, which will provide approximately 350,000 meals to address food insecurity across Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, Pinellas, Polk and Manatee counties.

Feeding Tampa Bay distributes groceries, and supplies, across a ten-county region, with mobile pantries bringing fresh groceries to food deserts. In addition to meal distribution, Feeding Tampa Bay’s on-site pantry offers produce, and other healthy grocery items, free of charge.

In addition to grant support, Bank of America Tampa Bay employees also volunteer to help

ensure all food is processed through the warehouse and placed in the hands of those who need

it most. By packing and sorting essential food, volunteers help provide for the thousands of

local children, families and seniors. In 2023, Bank of America’s Hispanic/Latinx Organization for Leadership and Advancement, in Tampa, gathered 480 volunteers, logging 1,648 volunteer hours.
