Lions World Vision Institute will host its annual VIP² Holiday Party for blind and visually impaired children on Dec. 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at its Ybor City headquarters.
The event, held in partnership with Hillsborough County Public Schools, invites local first- through fifth graders to enjoy a festive celebration featuring a visit from Santa, personalized gifts and holiday crafts.
Since its inception, in 2005, the program has fulfilled the holiday wishes of more than 1,000 children.
“Our pediatric vision programs are dedicated to improving the lives of visually impaired children year-round,” said Jason Woody, chief executive officer of LWVI. “During the holidays, we aim to brighten their lives and share the joy of the season.”
LWVI, the nation’s largest nonprofit cornea recovery organization, works to enhance vision worldwide.
