Fr. Giacabazi to lead Jesuit High School as 22nd president

Jesuit High School has named the Rev. Vincent Giacabazi, S.J., as its 22nd president.

Fr. Giacabazi brings experience in Jesuit education. A graduate of Saint Louis University, with a degree in political science and international studies, he joined the Society of Jesus in 2005. His career includes roles as a teacher, campus minister, department head and, most recently, principal and chief operating officer at Rockhurst High School, since 2019.

“I am thrilled to join Jesuit High School and help further build on its extraordinary foundation,” Fr. Giacabazi said. “Together we will advance academic opportunities, form a community of faith and strengthen student life and leadership.”

The selection followed a four-month national search, led by a committee chaired by Joe Caballero, a 1986 Jesuit High graduate, in collaboration with the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province.

Fr. Giacabazi has served on Jesuit’s board of trustees for eight years and held governance roles at Creighton Preparatory School and Rockhurst High School. He will visit the campus this spring, to meet with the school community ahead of the 2025-26 school year.
