Pinellas County elected officials participate in Habitat for Humanity build day (PHOTOS)

Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties hosted a volunteer build day for local, elected officials.

Twenty-five elected officials, from across the county, volunteered at Habitat Pinellas and West Pasco 800th home build, at 2790 53rd Ave N, St. Petersburg.

The build day was followed by an affordable housing discussion. Topics included policy solutions and funding approaches to the affordable housing continuum.

“Thanks to the hard work of our elected officials at the state and local level, Brianna Clayton is one step closer to achieving the American Dream of homeownership. Their partnership allows us to continue serving more families and strongly advocate for affordable homeownership opportunities for all,” said Mike Sutton, president and chief executive officer of Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties.
