Local dental lab expands in Hillsborough County

Cadmus Dental Lab, a creator of dental prosthetics, plans to increase its space with a new lease and increase its staff over the next three years.

The Tampa-based company has leased 21,400 square feet, at 5701 East Hillsborough Avenue, in the NetPark business park, and plans to grow from 50 employees to 100.

Cadmus will be hiring for various roles in finance, logistics, fabrication, client and customer service, field support and technical solutions, a statement said.

Cadmus Dental Lab was founded by Kelly Boyd-Rivera, one of only three women, worldwide, who own a dental lab. Boyd-Rivera has assembled a leadership team with over 100 years of combined dental lab experience. The company creates implants, crowns and bridges, dentures and partials, and orthodontic appliances for dental practices.

Along with the expansion, Cadmus Dental Lab’s nonprofit arm, Cadmus Academy, will bring visiting dentists to Tampa for training and continuing education courses.

The Tampa Bay Economic Development Council supported Cadmus Dental Lab with its expansion by providing labor market data, connections to business resources and assisting with workforce training grants.

Cadmus Dental Lab is the latest, local company to expand in Hillsborough County, following PEI Global Partners, SurgiShop and Cast-Crete.
