Construction begins on new Alessi Bakery in Tampa

Summit Design + Build broke ground on the new location for Alessi Bakery, a Tampa institution with over a century of history.

The bakery’s new home will be in the historic Tampa Letter Carriers building, undergoing a major renovation to accommodate the bakery’s growth. The updated space will expand Alessi’s baking capabilities while introducing new features, including an expanded menu, a coffee bar, a liquor bar and improvements to parking.

The project also includes the addition of a mezzanine, new walk-in coolers and freezers, and an exterior patio, creating a fresh, modernized space for customers.

JVB Architect is leading the architectural design for the project, which is slated for completion by mid-2025.
