Saddlebrook’s $92 million overhaul starts with a new driving range

Saddlebrook Resort has unveiled its new 13-acre driving range, marking the first milestone in a $92 million renovation.

Designed by golf course architect Rees Jones and associate Bryce Swanson, the facility includes a double-sided range, two TifEagle bermudagrass putting greens and three short game areas with bunkers.

Other plans include transforming the property’s two 18-hole golf courses into three interchangeable nine-hole courses, starting in 2025.

The driving range adds to Saddlebrook’s existing sports facilities including the Saddlebrook Golf Academy and the Harry Hopman Tennis Academy, which has trained athletes like Jim Courier and Andy Roddick.

Additionally, the Professional Tennis Registry and Professional Pickleball Registry recently relocated their headquarters to the resort.

Mast Capital, which acquired the resort in 2022 in partnership with Amzak Capital Management, is spearheading these developments to reestablish Saddlebrook as a premier destination.
