The Bank of Tampa has appointed G. Robert Blanchard Jr. as chairman of its board of directors, effective Jan. 1, 2025, succeeding James L. Ferman Jr., who served for more than 26 years and will remain on the board as a director.
Blanchard, a board member since 1997, is president of WRB Enterprises and a founding partner of WRB Serra Partners. He succeeds Ferman as part of a long-planned leadership transition, according to Corey Neil, the bank’s president and chief executive officer.
In addition, the bank welcomed John Touchton, president of The Witt-Touchton Company, to its board.
The Bank of Tampa, established in 1984, manages more than $3 billion in assets and operates in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sarasota and Manatee counties.
