Sandra Murman receives local honor on International Women’s Day

Sandra “Sandy” Murman, former Hillsborough County Commissioner and principal at Shumaker Advisors Florida, is being recognized on International Women’s Day with the Working Women of Tampa Bay 2022 Leadership Award.

During her nearly five decades of public service, Murman served as both a member and chair of the Hillsborough County Commission from 2010 to 2020. She was also a member of the Florida House of Representatives for eight years.

She has been directly involved in more than 30 organizations that support our community and enhance the lives of children and families. Prior to her time in Tallahassee, she had a successful career in business as a manager and sales representative for Top 500 Companies.

Murman joined Shumaker Advisors Florida as principal in March 2021. Shumaker Advisors Florida is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tampa Bay’s largest business law firm, Shumaker.
